- About Research Europe
-
Research Europe is the only publication that connects research to funding and policymaking in Europe. Researchers read us to get an inside track on the people and institutions involved in policy and funding decisions. Policymakers read us to keep abreast of how knowledge and learning affects people, the economy and the environment in Europe.
Our reporters and analysts follow the work of EU policymaking bodies and funding agencies, including mechanisms such as the Framework Programme, as well as the use of research in the European Parliament and the EU executive. Institutions that we report on include the European Commission’s directorates for research and innovation, climate action and environment; the European Research Council; and the European Parliament’s committees that monitor research and spending. We also report on national bodies in EU member states, particularly in France, Germany, Ireland, the Nordic countries and the UK.
As well as up-to-date news on research policy, Research Europe contains listings of funding opportunities across every research discipline. We scrutinise funding opportunities of all kinds, from any sponsors, that are open to application from European researchers. Updates on new calls and awards and funding opportunity deadlines are all entered into our comprehensive online database, keeping it up to date and relevant for our subscribers.
